#AMAZON VIDEO TOP GEAR SEASON 10 UPDATE#
Update October 7th, 3:39PM ET: Updated to include that the track shown in the picture is Portugal's Portimao Circuit.Probably all of us love (old) Top Gear and The Grand Tour for their hosts: Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. (May and Hammond followed him at the end of Top Gear's most recent season.) The new show will air sometime in 2016. The move to Amazon came after the BBC refused to renew Clarkson's contract following a fight with one of his producers. But it does seem like they've settled on neutral ground, as the photo was taken from the paddock of the Portimao Circuit in Portugal. It doesn't particularly look like those car companies have backed down - you can see engineers from each standing in Clarkson's photos.

That never happened, partly because the hosts wound up leaving, and partly because the different carmakers kept changing their demands - Ferrari, for instance, wouldn't let the show test its crazy hypercar on anything but its own test track in Italy. Throughout their final season, the trio teased a showdown between the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1, and the Porsche 918 Spyder. 8PaYvke5ilįor one, it looks like we're finally going to get the " Great Hypercar Showdown" that was promised near the end of the hosts' run on Top Gear. With a skeleton crew, filming for Amazon Prime's new motoring programme has begun. And while we still don't know the name of the program, Clarkson tweeted a pic of the show's "skeleton crew" that gives us a few hints about where it's starting. Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond - the former hosts of long-running BBC car show Top Gear - have begun filming their new show for Amazon Prime.
